Mampruli in Ghana

الحجم

Mampruli/Mamprusi is an Oti-Volta language spoken in northern Ghana. It is one of the mutually intelligible Dagbani-Nanuni languages spoken by the Dagomba, Mamprusi and Nanumba in the Northern and the North East Regions of the country. The speakers of these languages are collectively termed "Dagbamba". An interesting note is that the Mamprusi refer to themselves as "Dagbamba" while they use the term "Yooba" to refer to the people who are known officially as "Dagomba".
